We’ve been to NYC so many times with kids and without so this might be the most unorganized collection of things. Each time we go I’ll update the spots we went and some might become outdated because, well, it’s New York City.
Hotels
The Standard - East Village and High Line
Wythe - Brooklyn
Restaurants
Balthazar - this is a great first stop as soon as you drops your bags at the hotel. It’s really just an expensive place just to see if you can spot a celebrity dining here.
Olio e Più - Italian spot in West Village
Minetta - Classic old mafia vibe restaurant to try and see celebrities. We all had upset stomachs in the middle of the night because the burgers we had were so greasy. I’d still go back just for the vibe in the West Village.
L’Artusi - we went for brunch but I’d like to try dinner.
Tavern on the Green - When the weather is nice, sit outside! I want to relax here for lunch every time I visit.
Katz Deli
Bars
The Standard hotel rooftop bar and main level Biergarten
Bemelmans Bar - inside Cafe Carlyle. Iconic, go at least once and enjoy the expensive cocktail.
The Up and Up
The Rake wine bar
Brouwerij Lane
Death & Co - stand in line before it opens or put your name on the list if you like to stay out late - it will be hours before your table is ready.
NEW YORK CITY
Get tickets to the Comedy Cellar, The Stand, any comedy club.
Get coffee at Ralph Lauren
Activities
Rent a bike in central park or along the Hudson River
Chelsea Market - had oysters and wine @ Cull & Pistol
Walk the High Line and Little Island
Ice skate in the winter
Catbird to get permanent bracelets
See a play!
Book the trip to see some music; King’s Theater (awesome theater but super far and not the best neighborhood at night so I wouldn’t recommend) Brooklyn Bowl and Cafe Carlyle.
November 2022 - A fun little itinerary I made for this adults trip, photos below.
2021 - no kids
Mayer Hawthorn (replaced Avett Brothers canceled show) and Comedy Cellar
